xmyrin This morning as I was going through my dailies, I came across this post (linked from being homeless' LJ ). This girl, named Melissa, is 16 years old and she has leukemia. She wants to get at least one card/letter/postcard from every state in the United States, and as many countries as possible.

I know that since we have such an international community here, some of you might want to help out. It's so important for cancer patients to keep themselves busy and occupied, otherwise they have a greater risk of becoming depressed, and their will to fight the disease decreases. This isn't a charity, you don't have to give her any money or anything, but if you want to help her reach this goal, the address is on her mom's LJ here. <3
